MorningStar's Knives & Sheaths![]()
MorningStar's been making sheaths, for me and on commission, for a little over a year now. There's been one of those leaps, and she's all the sudden a lot better at it, and getting intuitive about construction and how to make things work.
And in just the last month or so, she's started making knives too. Started twisting and hand-hammering some railroad spikes, and then her first real knife was this kukri, that I cut from a sawmill blade, and she ground and made the handle and sheath for, for her son. He's going to have a 17" long Gurkha sword and be able to saw, "My Mum made it for me." She's started making some pretty little knives that would appeal to women, for their desks, for a sewing box, for a cheese tray, and she likes to use little pieces of Damascus left over from my work. The knives of hers here are not for sale. She's made them all for gifts. But if you're interested, you can get in touch with her.
She likes black leather. Many of my knives already have her sheaths. If there's a knife you want that doesn't, and you'd like one, e-mail me at bob@bobwilson.us. If you've got a knife of your own and you'd like one of her sheaths for it, e-mail her at MorningStar@bobwilson.us. |
